Thank you so much for contacting Wild at Heart Photography! I take on a limited number of family sessions every year to ensure each of my clients gets a personalized experience, ideal weather, and a quick turn around time. I am so excited to get to know your family better, and to work with you to create artwork that can be displayed and treasured by your family for years to come.

PRE-SESSION CONSULTATIONS

Each of my family session starts with an pre-session consultation, where we plan the details of your shoot. It gives me an opportunity to provide you with helpful advice to make the most of your session, as well as learn more about your family, your vision, and your plans to display your artwork. During the pre-session consultation we will discuss the time and location of the shoot, the poses most important to you, pricing, and your options for product and digital files after the photos are edited. I can answer any questions you might have about planning your outfits, uncooperative kids, and unwilling husbands (trust me, I know all about it), and help you to feel comfortable about the process, and your investment.

LOCATIONS

I have access to several gorgeous locations throughout the lakeland, and am always on the hunt for more. One of my favourite parts of my job is getting to incorporate our area’s beautiful scenery into my sessions. I encourage all of my clients to look through my past work, and find a look and location they are drawn to as a starting point. Most locations are easily accessed, while for others I need to secure permissions, or check them out ahead of time for cows, leaves or blooms (depending on the time of year). If you have a specific location in mind, I travel throughout the MD of Bonnyville free of charge, and occasionally travel to Edmonton, and farther (I’ve travelled as far as Boston for sessions!). However, locations outside the MD are subject to travel fees.

TURN AROUND

My turn around time for editing is one week after the session, at which point, you’ll be able to come into the studio to preview and purchase your photos. Any digital files purchased can be taken home that day on a USB, while prints and other products can be expected on your door step within 1-2 weeks after your purchase, ready to be displayed and admired.

ORDER CONSULTATION

So we planned the session, chose the location, waited for the date, let the kids run through the grass, laughed and played for an hour, and watched the sun go down. Then I took your photos home, edited the best 40, and now it’s time for you to see the outcome of our hard work and sugar-bribed kids! My order consultations are designed to help guide you through your choices, to make the best decision for displaying your family’s artwork. My goal as a photographer is to see your beautiful family displayed proudly on your walls, and kept safe in an album where they can be enjoyed for generations, as opposed to lost on a USB in a drawer somewhere. Don’t get me wrong, we all love digital files, but there is something to be said for being able to hold your finished product in your hand, and see it in your home every day.

WHEN TO BOOK

I only shoot one family session each week between mid-May and late September, so spots book up fast. September sessions typically book up 6+ months in advance, whereas mid-summer sessions usually book up a couple months before the session. Booking for the new year opens up January 1st, so be sure to watch our facebook page for announcements on available dates!
