Thank you so much for inquiring into our Christmas mini sessions! Morning and afternoon appointments are available for both Saturday November 30th & Sunday December 1st.
All sessions include photos taken on both sets, the Christmas tree set (shown), and a white bed set (photos to come), which is suitable for small families. Family photos against the wood wall are also possible upon request.
I ask for a $50 deposit to hold your spot, which goes towards whichever package works best for you.
GETTING THE MOST OUT OF YOUR MINI SESSION
WHAT TO BRING
Please feel free to bring one small toy or book (Christmas themed is a plus!) that you wouldn't mind having in the photos to help make your little one feel more at home. Snacks (not sticky or messy) and a drink is also a good idea. Please do not bring iPads, or anything else that might be distracting to your child.
WHAT TO WEAR
Both sets this year have lots of white with pops of colour, so most Christmas outfits will work. However, my suggestions for the Christmas tree set are greens, reds, golds, neutrals, and white. The white bed set is a great opportunity for photos in Christmas PJ’s :) 30 minute sessions allow plenty of time for a wardrobe change if your child is up to it so you’re welcome to bring a change of clothes. Here are some suggestions for colours on each set:
WHAT TO EXPECT
I will have several props ready to go at both sets. If you plan on an outfit change, you may want to see which set your child is most interested in before you dress him or her. If your child doesn't cooperate right away, please do not worry! We have half an hour to get our images, which is plenty even for little ones who don't want to sit still.
I try to stay as positive as possible to keep kids focused and happy. It takes very little to push a toddler past the point of no return, so please try to stay positive and avoid threats of punishment even if your kid is driving you crazy. Please also talk to your child about the session before hand, and let them know that it will be a fun experience *insert bribes you plan to use here*.
Please be aware that I do have a large black dog. He is very friendly, but can be a little overwhelming for some kids, especially if they're not used to dogs. His name is Jack, and loves attention. If your child is afraid of dogs, feel free to come get me and I can keep him restrained until your child is in the studio.
* IMPORTANT * Please stay in your vehicle until I call you in. My studio is very small, and only has room for one family at a time. I may also need a moment to reorganize the studio so it is fresh and ready to go when you arrive.
RECEIVING YOUR IMAGES
Christmas card proofs will be sent to you via facebook message or email within one week of the sessions. Please respond promptly with changes or approval, as I cannot, and will not order an unapproved product. Naturally, this could result in delays in receiving your Christmas cards.
All digital files will be sent to you through a dropbox link, which allows you to download your photos to your computer, or to your phone.
Any product purchased will either be mailed directly to your home (if you have a street address), or will be available for pick up within two weeks after approval.
Those who plan to go with packages 3 and 4 are encouraged to book an order consultation after the session so I can help guide you through the ordering process, and make the most of your print credit :)
